Annual Nursing Research Day

The College of Nursing is pleased to invite all UIC students, faculty and staff to spend a morning immersed in the difference-making research of 10 scholars.

In concurrent sessions until 10:30, renowned nurse researchers will present on topics including: community-based intervention for African-American caregivers of relatives with the dementia; perspectives of women, parents and children with donor-oocyte conception; chronic pain experience of sickle cell disease; health effects of microaggressions among racially diverse bisexual women; and more.

At 10:50, Ph0enix Matthews, the College of Nursing’s Helen K. Grace Diversity Scholar and 2019 Distinguished Researcher, will present “Tobacco research in LGBT populations: Queer lungs matter!”
