On Puerto Rico’s reconstruction process after several hurricanes and the COVID-19 pandemic left the island completely devastated. People have had to endure an exhausting, draining, and daunting recovery process that is rooted in our history of slavery and racism, where powerful and rich industries see the reconstruction of Puerto Rico as a means to assert more power and increase profits.
