The Crossing Latinidades Humanities Research Initiative hosts a conversation with Rina Benmayor, professor emerita of humanities at California State University, Monterey Bay; William V. Flores, professor and former president of the Univesity of Houston-Downtown; and Richard Flores, deputy to the president for academic strategies at the University of Texas at Austin, who will discuss the significance and impact of the book “Latino Cultural Citizenship: Claiming Identity, Space, and Rights” (Beacon Press, 1998) on the field of Latino/a/x/e studies and the present moment.
