Join UIC Law for a conversation with Richard Rothstein, a Fellow with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund’s Thurgood Marshall Institute and an Economic Policy Institute Research Associate. Mr. Rothstein’s book, The Color of Law, is a critical indictment of American government’s role—at the federal, state, and local levels—in perpetuating de facto segregation by not only ignoring, but encouraging racist practices in the residential sphere. We’ll discuss these practices in detail and how decades of Black housing disenfranchisement has furthered the disparity of privilege in America.

The first 100 individuals to register for the program and provide a complete mailing address will receive a copy of Mr. Rothstein’s book.
