Have you ever gasped at your electricity bill, and wondered if there’s a way to reduce your energy consumption? Has your electricity bill gotten way higher since you began working from home?

The Citizens Utility Board is a resource that all Illinoisans can use to effectively manage their electricity consumption. In honor of Energy Awareness Month, the Citizens Utility Board will host an October webinar in conjunction with the Office of Planning, Sustainability, and Project Management highlighting how, during our temporary work-from-home schedule, UIC employees can lower their electricity bill while reducing their carbon footprint in a meaningful way.

In addition to discussing residential energy efficiency strategies, CUB liaison and webinar host Foluke Akanni will also discuss how you and your neighbors can get engaged with community solar, as well as the latest news regarding the Clean Energy Jobs Act.
