Feminisms Lunch Lecture: Nicole Marroquin

Date / Time

April 23, 2019

12:00 am - 2:00 pm

On the Lower West Side of Chicago, the fight for civil rights by women of color laid the foundation for a strong creative community, yet the history of these leaders remains largely unwritten. Nicole Marroquin will present images of art and community organizing between the mid-1960s to 1980. She will discuss lineages of art education and contemporary production after the 50th anniversaries of Chicago’s massive student uprisings.

Presented as part of the Women’s Leadership & Resource Center’s Feminism Lunch Lectures.
