Please join the UIC School of Public Health Global Health Program for our monthly speaker series. Our speaker for this month is Niveen Abu-Rmeileh, PhD.

Abu-Rmeileh will be speaking on the Experience During Childbirth and Adolescent Reproductive Health Services. All UIC students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.

Abu-Rmeileh is a professor of epidemiology and public health at Birzeit University. Abu-Rmeileh has led national, regional and international research. She is a board member of the Global Implementation Society (GIS), and a member of the Eastern Mediterranean-Advisory Committee for Health Research (EM-ACHR) and the WHO-Eastern Mediterranean Research Ethics Review Committee (ERC). Her research interests focus on three broad categories: Non-Communicable Diseases, Reproductive Health, and Information Systems for Health. Her current research includes understanding existing digital reproductive health initiatives and policies; strengthening adolescents’ health information system; and validating the World Health Organisation tool developed to assess respectful care during childbirth.
