The UIC Institute for the Humanities presents Kenan Malik in Conversation with David Stovall and Ken Warren.

As a writer, lecturer and broadcaster, Kenan Malik is well-known in Britain, and his new book, “Not So Black and White,” has been widely noticed both in the UK and the U.S.

Both a history and a critique of the idea of race, the book concludes by urging its readers to refuse not only racism but race itself. At UIC, Malik will discuss his arguments in a conversation with David Stovall (UIC) and Ken Warren (U of C), moderated by Walter Benn Michaels (UIC).
