Please join our celebration of award-winning author Karen Su’s new books featuring the life stories of Asian American civil rights activists Grace Lee Boggs, Philip Vera Cruz, Yuri Kochiyama and Dalip Singh Saund.

Karen Su is clinical associate professor in the UIC Global Asian Studies Program and directs the UIC AANAPISI Initiative. She was awarded the Many Voices Prize by the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators-IL in 2022 and was chosen to be a We Need Diverse Books mentee in 2018. She is an active member of Banyan: Asian American Writers Collective.
