New courses for UIC’s Certificate in Nonprofit Management are open for registration. The following online classes begin Thursday, Oct. 17.
Creating and Managing Fundraising Plans: Produce Ownership and Results
- This course covers the essential elements of the fund development process, including assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating, which are critical for nonprofit organizations. It provides a foundation for specific fundraising strategies taught in other CNM courses, such as grant writing and donor relations.
- Dates: Oct. 17-Nov. 20.
- Course fee: $550/$515 for University of Illinois alums, employees or current degree-seeking students.
Social Media Strategies for Nonprofits
- This course explores how nonprofits can leverage social media to enhance branding, fundraising, volunteer recruitment and advocacy. It covers building a strong digital presence, implementing best practices and using social media as an advanced marketing strategy to support various nonprofit audiences and goals.
- Dates: Oct. 17-Nov. 20
- Course fee: $550/$515 for University of Illinois alums, employees or current degree-seeking students.
Fundamentals of Operations Management and Organizational Effectiveness
- This course provides a basic overview of nonprofit operations, exploring significant facets of management that are not currently addressed elsewhere in the CNM curriculum: organizational structure and staffing, human resource administration, information technology, and organizational performance management.
- Dates: Oct. 17 – Nov. 20
- Course fee: $550/$515 for University of Illinois alums, employees or current degree-seeking students.
