UIC Heritage Garden Harvest Festival: Planting seeds of Knowledge and Fostering Resilience

  • How does planting seeds of knowledge rooted in social justice foster inclusion?
  • How can our collective remembering be a tool of resilience?

The UIC Heritage Garden is hosting the Fifth Annual Harvest Fest! Join us for two events!

Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: UIC Latino Cultural Center, LCB2

Get the tools to grow Guerrilla Gardens in your neighborhood, take a Plant home and learn about cultural connections, contribute to the Recipe Zine, create skull-shaped seed bombs to help preserve Monarch butterfly habitats, and honor departed loved ones through storytelling.

Thursday, Oct. 28 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Learn how to create Seed paper and share stories of your own sustainability practices. Online event.
