Dennis Rosenbaum aims to bridge the gap between criminology research and law-enforcement practice.

He investigates police strategies and the role of citizens in crime prevention, and he is one of the country’s top authorities on community policing, “hot-spot” policing, school-based prevention, interagency partnerships, IT applications and program evaluation methods.

Rosenbaum is project director of the National Police Research Platform, funded by the National Institute of Justice, and he represents the U.S. on the scientific committee of the International Center for the Prevention of Crime.

He regularly serves as an adviser to local, state, federal and international public-safety agencies.
