Dr. Julie Carbray, clinical professor of psychiatry and nursing, focuses her teaching and research interests on psychopharmacology and therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents with mood disorders; the neurobiology of mood disorders; detecting depression in underrepresented youth; and family responses to childhood mood disorders.
Carbray has been a consultant to the Chicago Police Department to develop training curricula for officers responding to situations involving children and adolescents with mental illness.
