Biography
Krista Jones
As chair of the Advisory Board for the Illinois Nursing Workforce Center, which is charged with ensuring Illinois has the nursing workforce necessary to meet the needs of a growing and aging population, Krista Jones is well-qualified to discuss nursing needs in Illinois.
Her expertise is particularly focused on public health nursing workforce issues. She is chair of the Council of Public Health Nursing Organizations, representing 200,000 national public health nurses. Jones can speak to her own efforts to bring evidence-based training modules to public health nurses.
Jones also leads the Urbana campus of the UIC College of Nursing and has a research interest in reducing risky behavior among adolescents and young adults.
