Dean Emeritus and Professor, College of Business Administration
Michael Mikhail, dean emeritus of the UIC College of Business Administration, studies how securities analysts use financial information in the capital markets.
He examines the forecast accuracy of analysts and the factors that contribute to their performance and stock recommendation profitability.
He has also studied how corporate earnings affect how market participants react to other information provided by a firm and to the cost of capital.
The business leaders of tomorrow, Mikhail says, will need a range of quantitative and technical skills, but also a grounding in ethics, communication, teamwork and project management.
