Biography

Paul Metaxatos
Paul Metaxatos is associate director for research programs at UIC’s Urban Transportation Center, and a faculty associate in the Center for Supply Chain Management and Logistics. His research focuses on transit planning, transportation and land use, intelligent transportation systems, transportation modeling, multimodal transportation, and planning and economic development.
As a consultant, he has completed projects for the Bogota, Colombia, Metro; the U.S. Department of Transportation; the Illinois Department of Transportation; and other transit agencies.
An engineering graduate of the National Technical University in Athens, Metaxatos earned a master’s in urban geography and a doctorate in public policy analysis, specializing in transportation planning, at UIC.
