Biography

Sarah Dunn

Sarah Dunn is co-founder of UrbanLab, an architecture and urban design firm which has been involved in designing a masterplan for a new city in China, a house in the LA hills, a company headquarters on Chicago’s west side, and a play landscape on Chicago’s south side.

UrbanLab won the AIA College of Fellows Latrobe Prize (2009), was selected as an Emerging Voice by the Architectural League of New York (2010), and exhibited at the Venice Biennale (2012) and the Chicago Architecture Biennial (2015).

UrbanLab’s design work and writings have appeared in Architectural Design, Architectural Record, Architect, Dwell, and Places.

Born in Virginia, she has lived in New York, Japan, Singapore, Istanbul, and the Netherlands where she worked for OMA/Rem Koolhaas on large-scale public and private projects including the McCormick Tribune Campus Center in Chicago.
