Taylor Watterson
Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Systems, Outcomes and Policy
Biography
Taylor Watterson is an assistant professor of pharmacy systems, outcomes and policy in the UIC Retzky College of Pharmacy. She directs the Systems-based Collaborative Research for Patient Safety Lab, focused on health services research to improve patient safety.
Watterson’s innovative research spans high-quality patient care, medication safety, health information technology, workforce utilization and the well-being of pharmacy students and community pharmacists, including occupational fatigue.
She is also an affiliate at the UIC Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomic Research and a member of the UIC Institute for Equitable Health Data Science Research. In addition, she is a Public Voices fellow of the The OpEd Project. Earlier in her career, Watterson was a practicing pharmacist at an independent community pharmacy.
