UIC honors student veterans

UIC honors its student veterans Nov. 9 through 13 with a flag raising ceremony, bone marrow drive and other events.

The Student Veterans Association will host an exhibit, “The Things We Carried,” in the Cisar Student Veteran Center. The exhibit, displayed Nov. 9 to 13, includes the gear, uniforms, photos and artwork of UIC student veterans during their military service. The center is located on the second floor of Student Center East, next to the Commuter Student Resource Center.

The Student Veterans Association will hold a bake sale, 1-5 p.m., in the Montgomery Ward Lounge, Student Center East.

A flag-raising ceremony by UIC ROTC will be held at noon Nov. 11 on Halsted Street in front of Student Center East.

A bone marrow drive will be held from noon to 4 p.m. in front of the UIC Bookstore, Student Center East.
