Monday: Panel to discuss Illinois politics and the public university
A distinguished panel representing the leadership of the state’s flagship public university and political and public-policy experts from its faculty will discuss “Illinois Politics and the Public University” at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Panelists include Robert Easter, president of the University of Illinois; Christopher Mooney, director of the university’s Institute of Government & Public Affairs and the W. Russell Arrington Professor of State Politics at the University of Illinois at Springfield; and Dick Simpson, professor of political science at UIC. The discussion will be moderated by Mitchell Vogel, trustee of the State Universities Retirement System (SURS).
