Morgan Street Bridge, CTA station reopen, Peoria closes
The Morgan Street CTA Blue Line station opened Monday as the Peoria Street CTA station closed as part of the Circle Interchange project.
The closing and reopening of the bridge and CTA stations was originally scheduled for June 2 but weather and construction problems delayed the closing. Work on the Peoria Street Bridge is set to continue until Dec. 31.
The entrance to CUPPA Hall may be blocked until June 27 by Commonwealth Edison work.
The Illinois Department of Transportation will install temporary lighting on Peoria Street in front of CUPPA Hall.
IDOT officials also said lights will be added to the Morgan Street CTA station entrance and platform.
The work is part of the Circle Interchange reconstruction project by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
