Pie in the face for health care staff
It was a wacky way to commemorate two things at once: Children’s Cancer Awareness Month and Sickle Cell Awareness Month. Staff in the Childrens Hospital University of Illinois agreed to get a pie in the face (actually, a plate full of shaving cream) from young patients at the hospital Sept. 29.
Jeffrey Dolder, project coordinator in pediatrics, was game for the fun. He got creamed by patient Jesus Mendoza, 7, who was delighted to oblige.
