A UIC student reported an armed robbery that occurred about 9:30 a.m. Friday as she walked east on Polk Street near Aberdeen Street.

She told UIC Police that two men approached her, displayed a handgun and demanded her possessions. She surrendered her cellphone and cash and the men fled west on Polk.

The first was described as black, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, and carrying a snub-nosed revolver with a brown handle.
