Arrests by UIC Police
Oct. 17: A man was arrested for robbery at 8:15 a.m. at the UIC Police Station, closing four previous reports.

Oct. 18: A man was arrested for narcotics at 7:41 p.m. at 1002 S. Des Plaines St.

Oct. 19: A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 3:53 p.m. in the Student Services Building.

A woman was arrested for DUI at 6:30 p.m. at 1705 W. Taylor St.

Man arrested for phone robberies
A Chicago man was charged with two mobile phone thefts that occurred in September.
The UIC Police/Chicago Police Department Joint Robbery Task Force is investigating a possible connection to other crimes.

Kovadis Stewart, 19, was charged with felony strong-arm robbery for the Sept. 23 crime and misdemeanor theft for the Sept. 24 offense, both in the same location near on the street Ashland Avenue and Polk Street.

Suspect sought for gas station robbery

UIC Police arrested one suspect and are looking for another for the armed robbery of a Shell gas station at 1160 W. Van Buren Ave. at 1:22 a.m. Friday.

Bryan Harris, 24, of Chicago, is charged with one count of felony armed robbery.

The second man is described as a 22- to 27-year-old black male, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes with white laces.
