Student’s smartphone grabbed

Police are seeking two men who grabbed a student’s iPhone from her hand about 4 p.m. Sept. 23 as she walked near 915 W. Van Buren St. The two approached from behind, then jumped into the back seat of a red Chevy Cruze with two women sitting in front. The car drove eastbound on Van Buren.

The student was not injured.

Sept. 23: A man was arrested for theft at 2:38 p.m. at the hospital.

Sept. 24: A man was arrested for theft at 3 p.m. at the UIC Police Station, related to a Sept. 4 incident.

Sept. 25: A man was arrested for theft at 5:20 p.m. at 745 S. Damen Ave.

A man was arrested for theft and criminal trespass at 3 p.m. at 1332 S. Morgan St., related to a Sept. 24 incident.

Sept. 26: A man was arrested for criminal trespass at noon at the UIC Police Station, related to a March 23 incident.

A man was arrested for criminal trespass at 2:30 at the UIC Police Station, related to a March 23 incident.
