ARRESTS BY UIC POLICE

Nov. 12: A woman was arrested at 2:20 p.m. at the UI Hospital for phone harassment that occurred Oct. 29.

Nov. 14: A man was arrested for criminal trespass at 4:46 p.m. at the College of Medicine West Tower.

Student gets stolen phone back

A UIC student lost her cell phone to a strong-arm robber Nov. 10, but a good Samaritan chased the offender, retrieved the phone and returned it to her, UIC Police said.

The student said she was walking south in the 1200 block of Halsted Street about 5:30 p.m. when she was approached by a black male, age 15 to 17, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The offender shoved her, grabbed her phone and ran. The unidentified witness pursued the robber and recovered the phone, she told police.
