Crime alert

An armed robbery occurred at 2:10 p.m. June 7 inside a restaurant at 1252 S. Halsted Street. Two offenders entered the restaurant, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the register. The offenders took the cash and fled south on Halsted Street in a red Chevy Impala.

The first offender was described as a black male, 15 to 20 years old. He was about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and walked with a limp. He wore a gray T-shirt.
The second offender was a black male, 45 to 50 years old. He was about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and wore a gray long-sleeved T-shirt.

May 20: A woman was arrested for criminal trespass at 11:22 a.m. in the Human Resources Building.
