Political strategist visits campus

Donna Brazile

Donna Brazile, Democratic political strategist and a regular contributor to CNN and ABC, will speak Tuesday at Student Center East.

Brazile’s lecture begins at 4 p.m. in the Illinois Room.

An adjunct professor at Georgetown University, she was the first African American to manage a presidential campaign — Al Gore’s 2000 bid.

Brazile is a columnist for Ms. Magazine and O, the Oprah Magazine, and author of the best-selling memoir Cooking with Grease: Stirring the Pots in American Politics.

She is vice chair of voter registration and participation at the Democratic National Committee, and the DNC’s former interim national chair.

Since 2000 she has lectured at more than 125 colleges and universities.
