Soccer standout makes honorary team

Midfielder Ivan Stanisavljevic was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division I All-Great Lakes second team.

At the end of the 2012 campaign, Stanisavljevic was named to the Horizon League’s first team for the second consecutive season.  He ranked second in the league in points with 21, the top mark in the Horizon League.

He racked up 47 points over his final two seasons.

Stanisavljevic also chalked up All-Region honors in 2011, when he was named to the Great Lakes third team.

For his career, Stanisavljevic collected 62 total points, which ranks seventh all-time in school history; his 25 goals rank No. 4 in program history.  He is one of three players in UIC history to tally a trio of three-goal hat tricks during his career.

Since 1999, UIC has collected 22 All-Region accolades.
