The men’s basketball team takes on Milwaukee at 7 p.m. today at the UIC Pavilion.

The first 500 UIC students will receive free chicken wings before the game. Doors open at 6 p.m. and admission is free for students with i-card.

In the Flames’ last home game Jan. 16, senior point guard Gary Talton sank a running shot with just 1.7 seconds left to lift the team to a thrilling 61-59 win over Loyola.

“Gary (Talton) has grown so much within this program,” head coach Howard Moore said. “He has solidified himself as our true leader. There’s no doubt we wanted the ball in his hands on that last play.”

Talton scored a team-high 14 points and dished out four assists. Senior center Josh Crittle chipped in 12 points and a game-high seven rebounds.

In his second career start, senior Anthony Kelley scored six points, pulled down three rebounds, dished out two assists and swatted one block.

On Saturday, the Flames (11-8, 2-4 Horizon League) were defeated by Detroit, 98-47. Talton scored a team-high 11 points, collecting his 200th career field goal.
