Brian Flood

Brian Flood, Senior Associate Director, University Communications

Brian Flood is senior associate director of university communications and elevates the university’s reputation, visibility and reach through effective integrated internal and external communications, including media relations, reputation and issues management, and executive communications.

He previously managed various media relations and content creation duties supporting the UIC College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs, School of Law and Honors College, and reputation and issues management and executive communications for UIC.

Before joining UIC in 2004, Brian was director of public affairs at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has also served education and the arts clients as an account executive for a Chicago-based public relations firm.

He has a bachelor’s degree in communication from DePaul University.

FUN FACT: Participated in a hula hoop contest on WGN-TV’s “Bozo Show.”
