USS_Enterprise-D_separated

The science and technology that make the Star Trek universe work — are they possible, or do they bend the laws of physics?

Physics professor Dirk Morr will examine the reality behind warp drive, wormholes, beaming tech and holodecks at a lecture April 2 on campus.

Sponsored by the UIC and the Chicago Council on Science and Technology, his talk will begin at 6 p.m. in 250 Behavioral Science Building, after a social hour beginning at 5 p.m.

Tickets are free for council members and UIC students, staff and faculty, $5 for other students and $20 general public.

Admission is limited, so registration is required, even for free admission. UIC faculty, staff and students must bring i-card.
