UI Health volunteers bring ‘miracle’ to neighborhood kids

The holidays will be a little brighter for more than 200 children in the UIC neighborhood who received gifts from the annual Miracle on Taylor employee giving drive Dec. 15.

Miracle on Taylor, sponsored by UI Health volunteer services, benefitted nearly 70 families from seven organizations: A Safe Haven, Chinese American Service League, Missionaries of Charity, Mujeres Latinas en Acción, Neopolitan Lighthouse, New Hope Program and Teresa’s Interim Housing.

More than 410 gifts were purchased and donated by UIC employees.
