UIC’s exciting campus life in the heart of Chicago and its Division I sports teams, academic excellence, diversity and value will be on display during the daylong event at Chicago’s only public research university.

The UIC Open House provides prospective students and others the opportunity to listen in on distinguished faculty discussing current topics and research, observe state-of-the-art labs including the Electronic Visualization Laboratory, view studio demonstrations and engage in family-friendly activities in the quad.

“We’re excited to showcase the uniqueness of UIC’s world-class research, award-winning faculty and dynamic and diverse student body,” said Oscar Rodriguez, assistant vice provost for academic and enrollment services. “Open House is our signature program with literally hundreds of opportunities to explore programming and spaces for our academic programs and services.”

Financial aid experts will also provide information in both English and Spanish to prospective students and their families about the financial aid process.

The UIC Expo allows people to get to know UIC’s colleges and community through one-on-one conversations with leaders of student organizations, current undergraduates, deans of colleges, academic advisers and professors.

Registration is required. To register, receive a complimentary parking pass, review the schedule of sessions and build an agenda for the day based on specific interests, visit openhouse.uic.edu.

Visitors can follow @apply2uic on Twitter and Instagram for updates throughout the day during their visit.
