Join the Latino Cultural Center and the Social Justice Initiative to make prints and buttons at the Chicago Justice Gallery to celebrate Earth Month.
Printmaking will be led by Marimacha Monarca Press, a queer/trans familia collective of artists and educators based on Chicago’s South Side. Button making supplies will be available to create your own low-waste Earth Month-inspired button. This event will be held at the Chicago Justice Gallery, which houses our Climates of Inequality Exhibition that closes May 25.
The first 100 people will receive a free tote bag.
Supplies will be provided. For access needs or questions, email lcc@uic.edu or call 312-996-3095. The Chicago Justice Gallery is wheelchair accessible. Everyone is welcome.
