Are you looking for expert advice on starting and growing a small business?
The Venture Workshops summer series offers an opportunity to learn how to build a solid foundation to grow your business. This series is open to the public and consists of four, two-hour workshops. After each workshop, you will gain tools and resources to take your business to the next level.
July 10
11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Venture Start
What are the available resources to help you develop your business? How do you access those resources? During this session, we will guide you through the many local resources to help you start your business. During the workshops, you will compile a list of next steps to move your plan to the next level.
July 17
11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Venture Viability
What can you do to determine if your idea has staying power? Is your idea really a solid business opportunity? In this workshop, we will help you learn how to determine the viability of your new venture by discussing customers, product, competition, and profit.
July 24

Venture Finance
Where do I find funding to get my business started? How do I get the money I need? During this in-depth look at many ways to fund your business, you will gain insight into how to identify these sources and develop a plan for where to go next. Learn from our experts about many funding options available for startups.
July 31
11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Venture Launch
Learn about legal and regulatory issues that you need to address before starting your business. We will discuss your launch plan, where to get required licenses and registrations, and where to get set up to pay the right taxes. Avoid common pitfalls and plan your path with a startup checklist.
