CHANCE Program – Mental Health & Wellness Online Workshop
Date / Time
February 1, 2021 - February 28, 2021
Upcoming Mental Health & Wellness Workshop – Join the CHANCE Family as we gather for our 4-Week Online Workshop designed to focus on Mental Health & Wellness. Beginning February 1st – 28th students and staff will have the opportunity to convene in our Blackboard Learn Portal to discuss the importance of your mental health and wellness. As we continue to deal with the COVID-19 Pandemic and are still “stuck in our homes” earning and working from a distance; it’s important to chat about your personal needs regarding anxiety, depression, “the balancing act,” societal changes and much more. Students who participated in this online workshop last year gave “rave reviews” about how much better they felt as we gathered weekly (online, anytime, anyplace) to discuss tools and tips that could bring CALM to your life. This workshop also targets the importance of “renewing and recharging” as well as learning how to create a personal wellness plan for yourself.
This semester we are pleased that our very own Dr. Belva Miles, Psychologist, UIC Counseling Center will spend the evening of February 18th at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom Videoconferencing to share her expertise on this subject matter. You can REGISTER FOR THIS WORKSHOP until February 4th This is a “non-credit” workshop tailored to your personal and professional development.
