Meet Sami Schalk, keynote speaker for Grace Holt Lecture

Register to join Black studies faculty, staff and students for an informal meet and greet with Sami Schalk, associate professor of gender and women’s studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

In the afternoon, Schalk will be the keynote speaker at the 2024 Grace Holt Lecture and Celebration presented by the department of Black studies. The event honors the legacy of Grace Holt, founder of the department of Black studies at UIC. Schalk’s presentation is titled 504 and Beyond: Disability Politics and the Black Panther Party.
