The UIC CHANCE Program cordially invites UIC students, faculty, administrators and staff to join us as we gather in our Blackboard Virtual Platform to host our annual “Mental Health & Wellness” three-week online workshop. Offered free of charge, this workshop was designed to help you increase your understanding and knowledge about dealing with stress and anxiety. Whereas, we are now moving into our third year of coping with the COVID-19 Pandemic (which has caused even more stress to our lives,); the goal of this workshop is to provide valuable health and wellness resources which can assist you in adopting and following a personal wellness plan.

Our curriculum will address things like how to cope and deal with societal challenges, stress and life changes and the importance of adequate sleep, eating right, exercise, and how to create a daily wellness plan for yourself. Hosted by Dr. Phyllis P. Hayes, founder, CHANCE Program, and Professor Audria D. Green-Hawkins, our virtual campus strives to create an interactive learning experience that promises to engage you within our virtual setting 24/7.

This workshop will host our Mental Health & Wellness Forum with special guest Dr. Belva Miles, psychologist, UIC Counseling Center, March 5 at 5 p.m. via Zoom. So, if you are feeling a little overwhelmed, needing someone to share your thoughts with and/or just plain old tired on a daily basis, why not adjust your schedule, join us in our workshop and focus on some self-care over the next three weeks. Register online.
