Queer UP: Advocacy 101, with Young Invincibles

Date / Time

October 4, 2018

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Please join us in the Gender and Sexuality Center for our second Queer UP! leadership development workshop designed to groom the next generation of young LGBTQIA+ leaders!

This workshop will build on the skills we learned with Young Invincibles in our first workshop, Campaign Organizing, and will focus on sharing your Story of Self, learning how to frame an important issue, and learning how to lead a legislative or administrative meeting.

Queer UP! series was created to highlight the importance of leadership development as a crucial component for representation and inclusion. It provides workshops to build skills and learn about the many ways we can advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights.

Young Invincibles (YI) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization of young people advocating for the interests of young people. The YI mission is to amplify the voices of young adults in the political process and expanding economic opportunity for upcoming generations, through work rooted in their values of entrepreneurship, young adult leadership, diversity, accountability, determination, and teamwork.
