The Global Middle East Studies Working Group at the UIC Institute for the Humanities invites you to a hybrid workshop held at the Institute for the Humanities and on Zoom. Zack Cuyler, assistant professor of history, will be workshopping an article draft entitled “The Roadblock State: Highways, Automobility, and Taxation in Lebanon, 1920-1950.” Download the paper.
