This presentation from the University Library in the Enhancing Research and Evidence-based Practice webinar series throughout spring 2025 is designed to help researchers, clinicians and information professionals improve their ability to find, evaluate and apply evidence. Covering key aspects of evidence-based practice, literature evaluation and search optimization, these sessions provide strategies for enhancing research workflows and decision making.

This first presentation in the series will look at identifying retracted literature.

Instructor: Tina Griffin, assistant professor, information services and liaison librarian

The production of new knowledge relies on scholarly conversation, usually through books and journal articles. We expect those sources to be true and accurate. However, sometimes they aren’t and must be retracted. This webinar will explore the definition of retractions, how they are documented in different platforms and what options you can integrate into your research workflow to identify them.

RSVP to attend. Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
