Not quite ready to say goodbye

Having lunch on the top of BSB and enjoying the view is priceless.

Time is flying by way too quickly!!! In four weeks I will be graduating, and I feel like I’m not ready yet. There is still so much to do, so many papers to write, and unfortunately finals to take. I think graduating seniors should get exempt from finals – wishful thinking!

Pretty soon it will be time to pick up graduation tickets and the cap and gown. It’s exciting but also stressful and sad at the same time. Everyone is picking classes for next semester and that is something that I will never do again at UIC. I’ll miss getting lost at BSB and going to my classes. I’ll miss grabbing lunch or a coffee with my friends and sitting outside when the weather is nice – those 3 to 4 days out of a whole year when it’s not freezing cold, super windy, or extremely humid. Having lunch on the top of BSB and enjoying the amazing view is priceless. I’ll miss going to the Bookstore to get my books for a new semester. Although my credit card will be happy!

I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my life, but I feel as if my last two years at UIC went by way too fast. There are still so many things that I wanted to do and get involved in. Although, I have crossed quite a few items of my UIC Bucket List and plan to cross off a few more in my last month. There are still so many items still left to accomplish and so little time. Pretty soon May will be here and graduation a few days after that, and then I’ll officially be a UIC alumna.
