Perfect end to long week

Ice skating with members of the Student Veterans Association!

Nothing is better than a Friday night at Millennium Park! One of the best things about getting involved with student organizations on campus is getting to experience new things and meet new people, and check out new and old places in the city.

The Student Veterans Association had their February General Body Meeting Friday and it was a blast! And the sun was actually out — double plus! We had a great time enjoying some great food at Giordano’s, following by a trip to Millennium Park for some ice skating.

I actually managed to skate on the ice and not fall — this was quite an accomplishment since the last time I went ice skating was 13 years ago and I only tried it once. Last time I went, I spent more time falling on the ice than skating on it. Thanks to the other awesome members of the SVA who helped me out, I actually managed to skate on the ice and not fall! If you’ve never been ice skating at Millennium Park you should definitely check it out. It’s a great way to spend a Friday night!

We finished of our Friday night taking pictures at the Bean and had some awesome hot chocolate. That was the perfect way to end a long week of classes!
