WHAT:
Secretary of State Jesse White will join UI Health patients and caregivers at a ribbon-cutting and open house to mark the opening of a transplant clinic at Mile Square Health Center Englewood.

“There are about 5,000 people waiting for an organ transplant in Illinois,” says White. “Many of those are now able to receive valuable services in their community, thanks to facilities like the Mile Square Health Center.

“However, let’s continue to encourage friends and family to take a simple step towards ending the waiting of others by signing up to become organ/tissue donors.  Just register at www.LifeGoesOn.com.”

The clinic will offer pre- and post-kidney transplant services the fourth Tuesday of every month. To schedule an appointment, call 312-996-6771.
