UIC chancellor to tour Chinatown and meet with community leaders

UIC Chancellor Michael Amiridis and community leaders from Chicago’s Chinatown neighborhood will gather for an area tour, luncheon and roundtable discussion hosted by the Chinese American Service League.

DETAILS:

The tour and a following roundtable meeting will provide Amiridis, who came to UIC in March, with a historical and contemporary perspective of the area and its people and the opportunity to explore potential partnerships between UIC and community agencies.

The roundtable will convene Amiridis and representatives of the Chinese American Service League, Pui Tak Center, Chinatown Museum Foundation, Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce, Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community and Chinese American Civic Council of Chicago.
